Welcome to Avon Farm Estate – Holiday Cottages

Set within the owner’s 230-acre arable farm, these outstanding properties are decorated to a high standard, and are loved by all those that come and stay. There are goats and chickens on the farm, so if you are up early enough, you can help yourself to some fresh eggs or wander around the stables. We also have a large field where you can play football or any other sport, or just enjoy a picnic whilst the kids play.

Guests have access to the 230 acres of land, which includes the River Avon, where you can do a spot of fishing (a license is required). Take a walk through the farmland and you reach the local pub, which is situated on the bank of the river. Less than 1 mile away is the Bristol and Bath cycle track, perfect for cyclists and walkers, and the property is close to Saltford Sailing Club.
 Just six miles away is the vibrant heritage city of Bath, which boasts the famous Roman baths, Thermae Bath spa, and the famous Royal Crescent, which is one of Bath’s most iconic landmarks. There are also several National Trust areas nearby, including Dyrham Park and Stourhead House.

“We spent 2 nights at the shepherds hut to celebrate our anniversary and we absolutely loved it – it’s the ultimate clamping experience! The farm and surroundings were stunning and the hut is in the most beautiful peaceful setting, yet is ideal if you want to spend a day in Bath as it’s a short drive to the park and ride. The hut itself was lovely, really comfy and cosy with everything you’d need. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise, surprisingly spacious and the bed comfy and cosy. The breakfast items were a great touch and means you don’t really need to bring anything with you. We also enjoyed our Prosecco in the hot tub, thank you! I’m sure we will be back, either to the hut or to one of the other properties on the farm which I’m going to check out! Thanks again for a lovely weekend and for making our first wedding anniversary so special.”

Each luxury property is fully equipped with everything you should need to enjoy your stay with family or friends. Well behaved, farm friendly pets are welcome in some of our properties, but must be booked in prior to your stay.
