Shepherds Hut – Romantic rural retreat
To the east of the estate we have 4 expertly crafted shepherds huts from the UK renowed Greendown Shepherd huts. These highly rated romantic shepherd huts are compact and bijou, but have everything a couple should need. The luxury 20ft long Shepherd’s hut is situated in Avon Farm’s 230 acre land, however the shepherd huts are set in its own field overlooking a stunning outlook of another field which edges the river. Each shepherd hut has a double bed at one end, and a walk-in shower with toilet and basin in a separate room at the other end of the hut. There is a fridge, 2 ring hob and microwave or oven, a toaster, Kettle, and we also provide a special welcome basket.
Guests may go into the 15 stables, take a look at the goats, and chickens on the farm. If you are up early enough you can even help yourself to the fresh chicken eggs. The Shepherds hut has a private sole use hot tub which (hot tub instructions must be adhered to).We have also secured fishing rights for our stretch of the river on the farm, a short walk from the Cottage.

Parking at Shepherds Hut
Parking in the car park is a short walk from the Shepherds Hut and you have shared access (with the other 4 properties) 230 acre farm and free eggs if you wish to collect them for breakfast and may visit the farm animals. The farm is relaxing and quiet, however you are close to both Bath and Bristol, which you can access via the close cycle path if you wish to explore. Our local pub The Bird in Hand is within walking distance.

Shared Space at Avon Farm Estate
The Avon Farm properties share the 230 acre grounds, certainly enough space for everyone! There is Fishing on-site (free of charge, but need to ask for a licence). There are chickens, sheep, goats and alpaca to see, along with our on-site farm dogs. We also have bikes that may be hired for the day, or duration of your stay.
