Enjoying the Farm and our Facilities
One of the biggest benefits about staying on a farm is there’s loads to see and do without even leaving the site, it’s great for families, friends and couples alike!
Please help yourselves to chicken eggs. The chickens are beyond the car park through the opening onto the fields. Not far from the chickens are a family of goats. They like being fed vegetables, fruit, even bananas!. Walk past the past the goats, follow the path down to the river and take a riverside walk either way along the public foot paths. The horses do not belong to the farm and are looked after by their owners who come daily to see them. Please do not feed the horses, but they are always happy for a stroke on the nose and a hello. All around this field are many blackberry bushes, please help yourselves when they are ripe. There are other tenants on the farm that either live with us in the converted barns, or just let a stable and field. They are all very nice, and always happy to answer any questions!
For There are a great variety of places to eat, drink or take away nearby if you fancy a night off, simply check out our Things to Do page or your Welcome Pack also lists eateries and attractions in nearby Bristol and Bath.

Shared Space at Avon Farm Estate
The Avon properties share the 230 acre grounds, certainly enough space for everyone! There is an outdoor Children’s play area, Fishing on-site (free of charge, but need to ask for a licence). There are chickens located beyond the car park (you may help yourselves to eggs) and a goat to observe and feed (within reason) – please ensure you supervise any children feeding the goats, clear any litter dropped and do not feed the horses as they are not not ours… You are more than welcome to pat or stroke a nose though as they’d love that! Be aware with little ones that there is an unfenced river in the ground.
